Mark an item unavailable (86)

Take an item off the guest menu mid-service without deleting it.

Goal Stop selling a stocked-out dish immediately.

Who Owner / manager (floor may use ops tools if granted).

Steps

  1. Open the item in Admin (or availability controls).
  2. Mark unavailable / 86 for the branch.
  3. Confirm guest menu and POS no longer allow adding it.
  4. Re-enable when stock returns.

Expected result Guests see out-of-stock behavior instead of failed kitchen tickets.
