Go live vs open for guests

OwnerP0

Critical: Go live sets operational OPEN status; guests still need an open business day (and usually payments/devices).

Goal Understand the two switches that must both be right before real service.

Who Owner / manager.

Steps

  1. Complete the launch wizard, then use Go live so the restaurant is operationally OPEN.
  2. Open a business day for the branch (Daily / Business day controls).
  3. Pair or confirm POS and KDS devices if you will use them tonight.
  4. Enable at least one payment path you will accept (UPI and/or gateway) before promising online pay.
  5. Run one launch test order end-to-end (guest or POS → kitchen → settle).

Expected result Guests can order; kitchen sees tickets; you can settle bills.

Common mistakes

  • Going live but forgetting to open the business day — staff and guests see “closed”.
  • Skipping payments setup then wondering why takeaway checkout fails.
